Things can always change on a dime in WWE and that goes especially true when you’re discussing WrestleMania. The build-up to WrestleMania this year included Shane McMahon suffering an injury coupled with diverticulitis and a hernia leaving many fans to wonder if Shane-O would be able to make the show. As it turns out there were people in WWE who had doubts as well.
While speaking to Talk Is Jericho, Daniel Bryan admitted that he had concerns about Shane McMahon as well. Jericho replied saying that he was actually McMahon’s backup plan and there were some plans made that would allow The Ayatollah of Rock n Rolla to make the big New Orleans event via a private plane from New Hampshire where Fozzy was holding a concert that night.
But Shane McMcMahon was able to pull through and make the show so they told him that the plans were off.
However, it was still somewhat of a struggle and Daniel Bryan even admitted that WWE higher-ups wouldn’t even tell him what was going on because they’re don’t tell the boys anything nowadays due to the fear of information being leaked out to the dirt sheets.
