As noted, Chris Jericho returned to WWE television on Monday night’s episode of RAW in a segment with the New Day. He interrupted the group and stated that he is back in the WWE to win the 2016 Royal Rumble match then go on to headline WrestleMania 32.
It’s worth noting that Fozzy schedule is all clear for the months leading up to WrestleMania so it’s very possible that he will have a prominent role on the show. We got word from someone in WWE that Jericho was not open to working on television unless he was put in a significant storyline so he may have gotten his wish.
Jericho posted the following on his return:
“Rooty, Tooty, Booty!” Had a blast last night….fooled you all again! Thanks to a great crowd in San Antonio & look out @wwe universe-it’s gonna be a WILD RIDE!! #trapqueens #Y2JForever”
