Chris Jericho has been turning heads his entire career and he doesn’t plan on stopping any time soon. He recently wrapped up one of the best runs in WWE he’s ever had starting with AJ Styles and leading to Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 32 and 33 respectively.
Then Y2J decided it was time to prove to people why they call him the Ayatollah of Rock n Rolla and he set off on the road with his band Fozzy. Their new song “Judas” has been doing very well and Jericho recently said on an episode of Talk Is Jericho that the music video for their song has over five million views on YouTube so far. That’s pretty cool.
Fozzy has been tearing up the planet on a world tour and it doesn’t look like they’re going to be slowing down. Fozzy recently announced that they will be doing another tour in October and November this year as well. The Observer noted that this probably gives fans a clue as to how long it will be until fans can expect to see Chris Jericho back in a WWE ring.
But to be honest, if Jericho stays out of action until November and takes a month or two off to recharge he can still come back at the Royal Rumble and have plenty of time to jump aboard the Road To WrestleMania. His road to WrestleMania 33 was a stellar one and if you’d like to relive it you can check out my new book about the subject.
Let’s hope Y2J is able to come back to WWE soon though because they really could use his veteran ability on the roster. When he comes back Jericho’s going to be fighting for the blue brand so it will give him a whole new plate of people to scrap with on SmackDown Live. Just imagine how awesome a program with Jericho and Baron Corbin would be. It would not only be a great chance for Jericho to make Corbin an even bigger star, but the story writes itself as a metal head vs a true rock star.
John Morrison recently announced his engagement to fellow Lucha Underground star Taya Valkyrie. It was very happy news and the wrestling world was abuzz.
Many congratulations were sent Morrison/Nitro/Hennigan/Mundo’s way including one very special message from Sean Waltman. X-Pac wanted to wish the couple the best of luck and express how much he loved both of them.
Morrison replied to Waltman by saying they were going to celebrate by going to X-Pac’s show. That sure sounds like a nifty place to celebrate to us.
