Chris Jericho fires back at fan saying AEW is “WWE lite”

Since the launch of All Elite Wrestling, the promotion has made their intentions clear which is to be an alternative to the product that WWE presents to their fanbase.

Thus, when one fan tried to claim that AEW is “WWE lite,” Chris Jericho took issue with it. It all started when the fan brought up how AEW has signed former WWE stars Shawn Spears (Tye Dillinger) and Jon Moxley (Dean Ambrose).

The fan would add that the promotion had been trying to recruit CM Punk as well as having Dustin Rhodes, Cody Rhodes and Jericho on the roster. You can see Jericho’s response here:

AEW has inked a partnership with WarnerMedia for multi-platform access for fans to watch AEW events, airing live weekly matches on TNT in prime time, as well as streaming them through WarnerMedia’s B/R Live and on pay-per-view.

Jericho will take on Adam “Hangman” Page to determine who will be the inaugural AEW World Champion in the expected main event of the AEW All Out event that will take place on Saturday, August 31st at the Sears Centre in Chicago, IL.
