Thanks to one former WWE star/producer, fans now know who to expect as the final opponent for Chris Jericho.

While retirement is likely years away for the future WWE Hall of Famer, Jericho has been staying busy as he reinvented himself. He did so when he started working in NJPW (New Japan Pro Wrestling) and later carried his current gimmick over to AEW where he became the inaugural AEW World Heavyweight Champion.

It turns out that Lance Storm is the wrestler who the legendary pro wrestler wants to face in the squared circle when he decides to hang up his boots. Storm revealed this in a response to one fan on Twitter who was asking if this was true. Storm wrote the following:

Storm later wrote in the comment section of his tweet by noting that “nothing is planned no.” Thus, it appears that Jericho hasn’t considered retirement or hasn't had talks with Storm recently about it.

This would be a great choice as the final opponent for Jericho as longtime fans of both wrestlers know their history, which dates back to the early 90s when they started out in the pro wrestling business.

They met at the Hart Brothers School of Wrestling while training. Jericho and Storm would later team together while working in Japan, Mexico, and later Smokey Mountain Wrestling.
