Chris Jericho reacts to fan defending Lio Rush over WWE problems

Lio Rush has been in the headlines this week for issues that he’s had with WWE.

There have been several reported issues involving Rush that resulted in him receiving some backstage heat and not being used on WWE’s flagship television show, Monday Night Raw.

One incident was reported and later confirmed by Rush about the standard backstage etiquette for the junior member of the main roster on overseas tours includes sitting at the gorilla position after matches to provide water to talents as they returned from the ring. Also, junior members carrying coolers and drinks into the hotels where the roster was staying in order to set up a common area.

Rush gave his side to this story about him being against doing this etiquette when he spoke with Fightful. In his opinion, the look of him carrying waters and bags for other wrestlers is not a good one.

A fan took to Twitter where he defended Rush’s stance on the situation and as a result, caught the attention of Chris Jericho, who responded by writing the following:

“Key statement there is “if I was a big Star in the WWE”. You’re not, so u don’t know the respect and dedication you need to make it in WWE. I never once “made” a young guy carry my bags. But I was shown respect every day. To disrespect the vets in any way is taboo in our biz.”
