Chris Jericho is being advertised for Madison Square Garden on July 12th. The advertising shows that he will be hosting a Highlight Reel segment that day.
Jericho also noted on Talk Is Jericho that he and Triple H came to terms on his new deal on Friday and it took just five minutes to hammer things out. As noted, Jericho and WWE had been talking for some time. Jericho confirmed that on his podcast when he said that talk began about a month ago when someone on creative pitched to him the idea of working with Bray Wyatt.
He also said that there was talk of him wrestling Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania but things didn’t work out at that time. Jericho, in an effort to keep things a secret, flew into Boston and then drove to Hartford, CT and waited until the show 5:30pm so fans would not see him driving into the arena. He was kept hidden in the production bus and went over the Bray Wyatt angle with Dean Malenko. Malenko would relay Jericho’s ideas to Vince McMahon. WWE will give him the days off he needs when he needs to go on tour with Fozzy. You can listen to the latest podcast below.
