Last night WWE put on its SmackDown 1000 episode special. Several big names made their returns to WWE TV, such as Rey Mysterio, Edge, Batista, Ric Flair, and many more. Rey Mysterio had his first match since reportedly signing a new two-year deal with WWE. Edge hosted his “Cutting Edge” segment with SmackDown Live Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair.
And both Batista and two-time WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair joined Randy Orton and Triple H for the Evolution reunion. A possible match-up between “The Game” and Batista was teased during the segment as well. One notable name who didn’t appear on the show, however, was Chris Jericho.
Jericho did appear on the special Raw 25 episode earlier this year. Currently, Jericho is doing work with New Japan Pro Wrestling, where he reigns as the IWGP Intercontinental Champion. When asked why he wasn’t on SmackDown 1000 last night, Jericho said he wasn’t asked to appear:
