Former WWE Champion Christian recently appeared on The LAW: Live Audio Wrestling to talk about various topics. During the interview, he was asked about scripting talents on WWE programming. Christian pointed out that when he first started out in WWE there was a lot more freedom on promos and he feels that people should take more chances with that because that's how things connect with the fans. “ I watch Jericho, he still does that, and there's certain guys that may do it, but I definitely think sometimes you need to step out of the comfort zone a little bit and take a chance.” Christian added that sometimes you need to step out of the comfort zone and take a chance. Christian said that when you take a chance, you'll hit it out of the park and you're on your way as a WWE Superstar.

On March 24, 2014, Christian won a fatal four-way match that featured Alberto Del Rio, Dolph Ziggler and Sheamus on RAW. Christian was supposed to challenge Big E for the WWE Intercontinental Title, which did not come happen due to Christian suffering a mild concussion. This would be his final match due to his history with sustaining concussions. When asked about his retirement, Christian said that if happened earlier in his career then he would have a been a problem for him but since he accomplished so much in his career he is okay with it. The only thing that he wanted to do in his career that he didn’t accomplish was to headline a WrestleMania event. He pointed out that he was two-time world heavyweight champion, had many great matches, and traveled the world. “If I didn't have those experiences and didn't have the accomplishments that I already did, I think it would have been harder for me.” Christian said that he knew he was closer to the end of his career at the time of the concussion, so it made it easier to retire.
