Before Christian’s concussion there had already been talk within WWE that Christian would retire when his contract expired because of his age (he’s 40), he was getting hurt alot and creatively there was nothing being given to him. There was more talk of that this week and since he lives in Central Florida he could end up as a trainer.
There is talk that WWE may be running some NXT house shows next year for WrestleMania week in San Jose. The reason for this would be to counter the independent companies that will be running shows. As noted before, WWE has a deal with the city of San Jose and Santa Clara to lock up venues in the area to make it difficult for independent companies to run shows.
