Christian did an interview with talkSPORT’s Alex McCarthy where he discussed a wide range of topics.
McCarthy released an excerpt from the interview in a video shared on his Twitter account. This is where he asked the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion whether he was pitched by WWE to be part of the storyline between Edge and Randy Orton.
The two stars had a multi-month feud that started in January and continued through WrestleMania 36 where they had a Last Man Standing Match.
Christian stated that he wasn’t in the plans for the storyline due to him being on the no contact list.
Christian has a history of concussions. In 2014, he was forced to retire from in-ring competition as a result.
“No, I just think with the way it played and obviously with me on the non-contact list, kinda makes that..can’t really do that. It would have been, but because of the current situation, it just didn’t. It’s hard to go out there and not be able to do anything, you know, can’t get anything out of it. So I think that was kind of the mindset.”

I asked Christian if there was any pitch for him to get involved in the Edge and Randy Orton storyline leading up to WrestleMania.
It appears being on the 'no contact' list put that to bed. pic.twitter.com/TwXI4rkn1n
