CM Punk has been called out by former WCW World Heavyweight Champion David Arquette. It turns out that this challenge isn’t for a pro wrestling match but rather an MMA (mixed-martial-arts) fight.
While out on the town this week, Arquette, who has returned to the pro wrestling scene as he has worked several events, challenged Punk to a fight when speaking with TMZ Sports.
“Yo, CM Punk … if you wanna fight, I’m ready bro. Any f*cking time,” said Arquette.
Once he signed with the WWE, Punk career took off as he would later hold several championships including the WWE Title. However, after dealing with injuries and lacking the desire to wrestle anymore, Punk decided to walk out of the company following the Royal Rumble pay-per-view event in 2014.
This was the last time he was associated with the company as he later received his termination papers on his wedding day. He later took his talents to the Octagon in the UFC where he would lose to Mickey Gall and Mike Jackson.
