CM Punk seems to be ok following his loss to Mike Jackson at UFC 225. The former WWE Superstar took to Twitter to comment on the fight. He also thanked his opponent and his team, family, and friends.
Punk said, “You win some, you lose some! I’m 1-1 this week and I’ll take it! Thanks to my team, my family, my friends, and THE FANS! Wouldn’t be here without any of you. Respect to @TheTruthJackson, thanks for the fight! You only live once, and… I’M ALIVE!”
There was no mention of Corey Graves, who ripped Punk for apparently ending their friendship because Graves is still affiliated with WWE. Punk has not addressed his future in MMA.
As noted earlier, Dana White told the media that Punk is basically done with UFC. “It’s a wrap,” he said when he was asked about another potential fight for Punk. At 39 years old, it would be extremely difficult for Punk to become a good fighter but I’m sure other promotions would like to sign him. At this point, we don’t know what Punk’s plans are but it seems likely that his fight on Saturday night was his last one.
