CM Punk jokes about Vince McMahon having UFC champion make WWE debut as the “Corona Kid”

CM Punk was watching Saturday’s UFC 249 pay-per-view event that saw Henry Cejudo successfully retain the UFC Bantamweight Title over Dominick Cruz in the co-main event in Jacksonville, Florida at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena.

Following the fight, the two-division champion announced his retirement from the sport of MMA.

Cejudo, who also has an amateur wrestling background, has expressed interest in making the jump from the world of MMA to the pro wrestling business.

Punk, who is a big MMA fan and even competed inside of the Octagon under the UFC banner twice, was live-tweeting during the UFC 249 broadcast. After the fight, Punk took to his official Twitter account to make a joke.

This is where Punk stated that WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon will sign Cejudo and have him make his promotional debut as the “Corona Kid” on Monday’s episode of Raw.

Obviously, this is a joke and there have been reports about Cejudo signing with WWE. Punk wrote the following:

“@HenryCejudo going to be on RAW Monday. @VinceMcMahon gonna put him under a hood and call him the Corona Kid. @ufc #UFC249.”
