For what it’s worth, CM Punk’s name was briefly mentioned during the SmackDown Tag Team Championship match at WWE Super ShowDown.
Punk’s name was mentioned by Michael Cole in reference to the time when he and Kofi Kingston were Tag Team Champions back in 2008. What is notable about this is that announcers have been told in the past not to mention Punk and, in recent weeks, there has been no mention of Punk when promoting FOX’s WWE Backstage show after Punk insulted The Miz while making a derogatory comment about WWE’s relationship with Saudi Arabia.
This could be nothing but Michael Cole would never mention Punk’s name unless he was given permission to do so by Vince McMahon so it’s worth paying attention to see if Punk’s name is mentioned again on future WWE shows. If so, then it could be a sign that things between Punk and WWE might be better than they have been in the past.
