Rey Mysterio will be getting a larger role in the upcoming WWE-themed Flintstones cartoon. As noted before, he’s going to be used in the spots that featured CM Punk. The movie is expected to be released next year so that should tell everyone that the company doesn’t expect him back since if they thought there was a good chance of him returning they wouldn’t go through the trouble of having him removed from the movie.
The do have an Undertaker character in the movie and John Cenastone (Cena), Vince McMagma (McMahon) and Daniel Bryan will be in the movie too.
Punk is scheduled for an appearance on Marc Maron’s show on IFC. Punk has done Maron’s podcast in the past.
