CM Punk Shares WWE And AEW Names That He’d Want For His Street Fight Team

Part 2 of CM Punk’s interview with O’Shea Jackson Jr. and the Rich Eisen Show’s TJ Jefferson on the ‘No-Contest Wrestling’ podcast has been released, where he discusses a wide range of topics.

In it, Punk discussed which wrestlers he’d want with him in case a situation broke out in a bar. He named Bron Breakker, Braun Strowman, Shayna Baszler, and AEW’s Samoa Joe.

Punk stated, “I’m taking Bron Breakker. I am taking Shayna Baszler. She’s with me, she’s my homie….I feel like Braun Strowman is a good pick for this type of a situation. Nicest guy in the world too, but I think if, ‘Hey, we gotta get out of here, make a hole’, he’s making a hole. One more…..now, does it have to be somebody in WWE? Samoa Joe. I don’t know about statute of limitations again, but there has been some situations in the early 2000s where maybe somebody who looked a lot like me and somebody who looked a lot like Samoa Joe were in similar situations that you described.”

Punk also discussed the impact of attending NXT events and interacting with younger stars on him. As previously noted, Punk traveled with the NXT crew to St. Louis on Tuesday night for TV, but isn’t expected to work Crown Jewel.

Punk stated, “I go home to my wife like just completely humbled and, emotional… when kids come up to me, and they’re comfortable enough to be like ‘Hey look at this’ and it’s a picture of them when they’re little at an autograph signing, and they tell me ‘Hey, you inspired me to do this.’ It’s just like me getting to tell Roddy Piper ‘Hey, you’re the reason I do this.’ And I don’t know if it meant anything to him but it meant something to me.”
