Cody Rhodes has been on a strong run as the Undisputed WWE Champion since winning the title from Roman Reigns in the main event of the second night of WWE WrestleMania XL.
This was a year after Rhodes fell short to Reigns with the title on the line at WrestleMania 39. Following that bout, Rhodes entered into a program with AJ Styles that included him retaining the title at Backlash France and then again at Clash at the Castle in an I Quit match.
Rhodes teamed with Kevin Owens and Randy Orton to fall short to The Bloodline (Jacob Fatu, Solo Sikoa & Tama Tonga) at the Money in the Bank PLE. At SummerSlam, Rhodes went over Sikoa to retain his title after Roman Reigns made his return to screw Sikoa out of the title.
At Bash in Berlin, Rhodes retained the title in his latest championship defense against Kevin Owens. He ran back with Sikoa on a recent episode of SmackDown inside of a steel cage and has now resumed his program with Owens.
Rhodes has now reached 190 days as champion and is closing in on the milestone of 200 days as champion. He currently sits as the 28th longest WWE Champion in history, just behind Daniel Bryan at 210.
