In a post-WWE WrestleMania interview, Cody Rhodes talked about his return to WWE.

Rhodes said he is so happy and he didn't know what to expect when he returned. He talked about his last WrestleMania as Stardust and while he had a good time, he knew it was time to leave.

Rhodes never thought that he would veer back to WWE but it was the easiest decision he ever made. He said that he strayed away from the spector of Dusty Rhodes for 16 years and he got into the business to win the "big one" and he won't get the chance to do it. He said that sometimes it's not about what's for him but more about his family.

He said he cherishes tonight forever because that was a true Texas crowd. He said that he means no disrespect to anyone else but it was time for him to come back to WWE. He joked that his WWE return was the worst kept secret in wrestling.

Rhodes said that he's had to be silent for 40-something days and he felt the love from the fans and he felt like he got a literally win tonight. He also showed off a shirt and said that WWE took his advice about putting his dog Pharaoh on it.

Rhodes told Variety that he does not plan on doing any shoot interviews so don't expect to hear him trashing AEW. He said that he wishes them well. Rhodes told Variety: "I mean, there were things about money and creative control. They were printed as fact and it’s been a very difficult two months to see that, when the reality is it was just time. It was a personal matter and we couldn’t move past it. I have nothing but respect for Matt [Jackson], Nick [Jackson] and Kenny [Omega]. I’m rooting for Tony Khan. His name is going to be in the history books as someone who helped to bankroll and support this entire alternative and revolution that AEW became but for me, it was just time to to move on. I get an opportunity at my dream, I get another chance at it. And you really can’t leave any stone unturned with that."
