Cody Rhodes Lays Out John Cena, AEW And Vince McMahon References Made On WWE Raw

John Cena and Cody Rhodes did a segment to open this week’s episode of WWE Raw.

Cena said that just because Rhodes thinks he runs the kingdom, he doesn’t. He said that Rhodes stole every secret that he had and yet he is still not relatable. He said he is too rehearsed and relies on too many lazy gimmicks.

Cena said, “I’m not gonna cook you, I’m gonna bury you, just like I buried everyone else. I don’t bury talent. I am talent. I bury mediocrity.”

Cena said that Rhodes is just tricking fans into loving him and they’re nothing like each other. He said that Rhodes disgusted him with the title. He said that Rhodes showed him one thing, and that’s mediocre can trick fans into thinking he is a champion. He called Rhodes a nepo baby and is so much into his gimmick he had it tattooed on him. He said that the tattoo exposes him as a common fan like the fans.

Cena said, “The last real champion is taking that belt forever and you’ll be left as what you are. An errand boy that got lucky.”

Rhodes said that Cena is a corporate creation and he’s not scared of Cena on the mic. Rhodes said that Cena has more d**k on the mic than in the short. He said that Cena shouldn’t act like he left WWE better off than he found it.

Rhodes said, “Can you say the same, or was it one guy in the office who chose you who’s not here anymore and we don’t talk about.” This was a reference to Vince McMahon.

Rhodes said that despite all of his past talk, it was Cena who sold out to The Rock. Rhodes said that Cena is his hero but a piece of s**t. Cena said that he has worked harder than Rhodes and has never been protected from the fans. Cena said he has taken everyone’s shot and no one has been worthy so he decided to do it himself. He has never left and Rhodes isn’t good enough to whip his ass.

Cena said, “I make empires for billionaires, all you’ve ever done is steal money from their kids.” This was a reference to AEW’s Tony Khan.

Rhodes said that the fans have never chanted you can’t wrestle at him. Cena took a shot, and Rhodes avoided it and hit the Cross Rhodes to lay out Cena.
