R-Truth returned to WWE at Money in the Bank, attacking John Cena in the main event. This helped Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso defeat Cena and Logan Paul.
Truth announced his WWE release on June 1st, leading to WWE fans chanting “We Want Truth” on programming throughout the week. WWE has signed him to a new deal. During the WWE Money in the Bank post-show, Cody addressed Truth’s return.
“The truth is, you guys wanted Truth,” Cody stated. “It’s always our job, everybody up here, everybody over here, Triple H, Nick Khan, it’s always our job to give you what you want, so thank you guys for letting us know.”
