WWE has announced a new segment for tonight’s episode of SmackDown as the company continues to build towards the Bash in Berlin PLE.
There will be two title matches on tap for tonight’s episode, including WWE Tag Team Champions The Bloodline (Jacob Fatu & Tama Tonga) vs. The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins). This marks Fatu’s first match in several weeks. He had been selling a foot injury suffered at SummerSlam to cover his hiatus from TV before returning in shock fashion last week to take out Roman Reigns in a blindside attack.
Also on tap for the show is WWE United States Champion LA Knight vs. Santos Escobar, Naomi and Jade Cargill & Bianca Belair vs. Blair Davenport, Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn. WWE has officially confirmed a segment involving Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes.
On Thursday, Grayson Waller took to social media to tell fans to wake up because they should realize that Rhodes has been the bad guy in his own story. This led to the Undisputed WWE Champion inviting him to have a chat on SmackDown.
WWE confirmed the segment this morning. More things will be announced for the show in the coming hours.
