Cody Rhodes To Bring A Piece Of WWE History To Saturday Night’s Main Event

WWE is pulling out all the stops for Saturday Night’s Main Event, and Cody Rhodes is set to play a significant role in the throwback festivities.

Triple H recently presented Rhodes with a mysterious case containing an undisclosed item. Triple H emphasized that Rhodes would have possession of this item for “one night only,” further hinting at a potential appearance by the Winged Eagle Championship on Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Previous interviews with Rhodes may offer a major clue. The American Nightmare has been vocal about his desire to bring back a beloved piece of WWE history: the iconic Winged Eagle Championship belt. This classic title design, synonymous with the “Golden Era” of WWE, holds a special place in the hearts of many fans, and Rhodes has expressed his admiration for its legacy.

As Jesse Ventura revealed on The Bill Simmons Podcast, Saturday Night’s Main Event will feature a stripped-down presentation reminiscent of classic WWF shows from the 1980s. WWE hasn’t confirmed that the Winged Eagle belt is coming back on Saturday night but it would be the perfect time to bring it back to make it fit in with the nostalgic presentation.
