Cody Rhodes will compete in an iconic Dusty Rhodes match at upcoming WWE show

WWE always loads up the card for its annual post-Christmas event at Madison Square Garden in New York City and this year is no different as the lineup for the December 26th show is stacked.

Previously announced for the show included WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Shinsuke Nakamura in a triple threat match, Cody Rhodes vs. Dominik Mysterio in a last-man standing match, and Sami Zayn & Jey Uso vs. Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Finn Balor & Damian Priest.

However, changes were made. WWE will have to make a change to the tag team match as Zayn is taking time off from WWE and WWE already changed Mysterio vs. CM Punk.

WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley, Becky Lynch, The New Day, Ricochet, Raquel Rodriguez, Omos, and more are advertised for the show.

Rhodes was on ESPN’s Michael Kay Show today where he revealed he would wrestle Nakamura in a Bull Rope Match.

The match features a long piece of rope attached to the right wrist of each competitor with a cowbell in the middle of it. The winner must hit the four corners of the ring in a row.

Rhodes worked the match against Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam, which was the first of its type in WWE since 2007 at the Great American Bash between Randy Orton and Dusty Rhodes.

Cody’s father, Dusty Rhodes, made the match stipulation iconic and often worked these matches.
