As noted last week, Minneapolis, Minnesota was previously rumored to hold WrestleMania 33 in 2017, but Orlando, Florida is said to be very high on WWE’s list as there have been a lot of talk within the company about holding the event in the city.
Heather Fagan, deputy chief of staff for Mayor Buddy Dyer, confirmed to Orlando Sentinel.com that Orlando submitted a bid for the event. “We have not received any notification and are waiting to hear just like other cities.”
WWE is looking into the potential logistics of bringing WrestleMania back to the city. WrestleMania 24 was held in the city back in 2008.
It’s possible that WrestleMania will be held in Orlando in 2017 and Minneapolis in 2018.
