Contract set to expire soon for WWE SmackDown star

Cesaro has an interesting decision to make soon as his contract with WWE is slated to expire.

It was reported by Wrestling Inc that the contract of the SmackDown star is slated to expire shortly after WrestleMania 37, which takes place on April 10th and 11th.

No other details on this story were provided including the exact date his deal is up. Should he not decide to re-sign with the company, he’ll likely have a non-compete clause in the deal, which means he couldn’t work for another promotion for 90 days.

He signed with the company in September 2011 and placed in FCW before being called up to the main roster the following year. Thus far in his tenure with WWE, he’s a one-time United States Champion, five-time Raw Tag Team Champion, and two-time SmackDown Tag Team Champion.

Cesaro, who is currently on the SmackDown brand, worked the men’s Royal Rumble match as he entered at #28 and eliminated by Braun Strowman.
