WWE Raw lead announcer Corey Graves is set to return to the commentary booth for Lucha Libre AAA. According to a new report, Graves will be the lead English language announcer for the upcoming Triplemanía XXXIII pay-per-view.
Corey Graves To Call AAA Triplemanía
A report from PWInsider has confirmed that Corey Graves will be heading to Mexico City on August 16th for AAA’s biggest show of the year. He will lead the English broadcast team for the event, which will stream live on WWE’s YouTube channel.
This will not be Graves’ first time calling the action for the Mexican promotion. In June, he provided commentary alongside AAA booker Konnan for the WWE x AAA Worlds Collide special, a performance for which Konnan later heaped praise on the WWE announcer.
A Busy Schedule For Graves
The AAA commentary gig adds to an already busy schedule for Graves. Following Pat McAfee’s recent hiatus, Graves returned to his role as the lead color commentator for Monday Night Raw alongside Michael Cole. He also provides commentary for the NXT brand on Tuesday nights with Vic Joseph and Booker T.
The announcement of Graves on commentary is another example of the deep and growing partnership between WWE and AAA. The Triplemanía XXXIII is headlined by a four-way match for the AAA Mega Championship between the champion, El Hijo del Vikingo, and three WWE-contracted superstars: Dominik Mysterio, Dragon Lee, and El Grande Americano. The full report on Graves’ involvement can be found on PWInsider.com.
