Corey Graves comments on rumors about his WWE future

Corey Graves took to Twitter to address a story making the rounds in the last few days.

For those of you that missed it, there’s been talk of Michael Cole moving from Raw to SmackDown Live as WWE does not want SmackDown on FOX to come across like the “B” show. There’s also been talk of Vic Joseph becoming the lead play-by-play announcer for Monday Night Raw.

Furthermore, Renee Young is rumored to be moving to SmackDown because FOX wants her to host their Tuesday night studio show and WWE plans on keeping announcers exclusive to one brand. The announcer split would mean that Corey Graves would not be working on two brands every week like he is doing now.

Graves acknowledged the rumors making the rounds and jokingly said that he is going to retire.

Graves wrote, “Just to clear up all of the rumors I see swirling around about the commentary changes in @WWE-

I’m retiring.”

We should know more about the roster and announcer shake-ups soon becasue a draft is planned for the October 11th episode of Friday Night SmackDown on FOX and the October 14th episode of Monday Night Raw.
