Corey Graves Says He Was Told By WWE That He Wasn’t Famous Enough To Keep His Main Roster Commentary Spot

Corey Graves’ move to WWE NXT commentary caught fans off guard, as he is highly respected for his work. Graves was moved to NXT on last week’s episode, where he joined Vic Joseph and Booker T.

This comes after Pat McAfee and Michael Cole shifted to Raw’s new commentary team, while Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett are the team on SmackDown. As previously reported by PWInsider.com, Graves is off the SmackDown brand going forward and was told he is scheduled for this week’s WWE NXT.

Graves took to social media to comment on his WWE spot and what happened. He claimed he was told he wasn’t famous enough for a spot on Raw or SmackDown, and that’s why he went to NXT. He wrote the following:

“Imagine chasing your dream. Then being TOLD (not deciding) that you’re no longer physically able to pursue your dream. Then you dedicate your life to something “dream adjacent” and being pretty fucking awesome at it. And then, when it’s time to enjoy the fruits of your labor, being told you’re not famous enough for your own job. Just in case you’ve wondered where I’ve been.”

PWInsider.com reports that there have been rumblings that Graves wasn’t happy about the move. As seen below, Graves was visibly upset during last week’s NXT.
