With the announcement this week that the WWE Network hit 1 million subscribers, it makes things interesting with the Brock Lesnar negotiations since they would now have more money to offer in negotiations.
There is still no word on if Lesnar has signed a new deal or even if he’s considering it. People in MMA say he’s open to offers after WrestleMania and people in UFC were expecting Brock to fight with them this year.
Spike TV president Kevin Kay told MMAFighting.com that Brock (or perhaps his people) have talked to Bellator MMA as well. “He has the relationships to talk to everybody,” Kay said. “He’s with Fedor. He’s talking to Brock, he’s talking to Gina. These are people he’s known for years, so we are in a better position to potentially land those people.”
At the very least, WWE should sign him to an extension and then let word leak out so fans will know when WrestleMania rolls around that Brock is not leaving. It’s still likely that Brock will drop the title but at least it can put some doubt into some fans minds.
