We’ve gotten several emails from readers asking about Hulk Hogan’s status following the commercials that aired over the weekend on the WWE Network. For those that missed it, WWE ran a new WWE Network promo during Backlash and Hulk Hogan’s voice was featured in a couple sound bytes. The same promo aired during Monday Night Raw. That is significant because, other than a couple of still photos for Roddy Piper’s Raw tribute video, Hogan’s name had been removed from WWE programming last July after transcripts leaked by The National Enquirer alleged that Hogan had used racial slurs during the private sex tape that leaked a few years ago.
The feeling from a couple of people I spoke to is that Hogan would be back in time for WrestleMania and it would make sense since they would be in his neck of the woods near Tampa. WrestleMania 33 will take place in Orlando, Florida. Triple H has said publicly that the company has been open to bringing him back but it boils down to figuring out when the time is right.
Regarding a Hulk Hogan return, Triple H said the following during a radio show back in November:
“Do I think he can be forgiven and make amends with the world and move forward? Yeah absolutely. But at the same point in time for us in that time frame you’re putting up a message to the world of how you’ll tolerate things and how you’ll react to things. We did what we needed to do and he’ll do what he needs to do to get himself back.”
Hogan has been laying low since winning his case against Gawker and he has been putting over a bunch of the new WWE talent via social media.
Kevin Owens,A.J.Styles,all we need to blow the roof off the WWE is for Eric Young to pull his pants off and make a comeback in his Speedo HH
