Dave Meltzer discussed the WWE TV deal. Yesterday was the day that WWE had projected to have a deal done but nothing has been announced as of yet. Meltzer said that ESPN is not interested and Viacom (Spike TV’s parent company) split with WWE in 2005 on bad terms so the odds might not be good for WWE to make a deal with them. The one network that could have interest is Fox Sports 1. The problem with FS1 though is that it’s in fewer homes and they may have issues with live programming bumping Raw.
The official announcement on their TV deal might not come until late April.
