Current Ring Of Honor champ says WWE run is “definitely” on his bucket list

For most professional wrestlers, one day reaching the juggernaut that is WWE is the ultimate goal. That’s the case for current Ring Of Honor World Television Champion Jeff Cobb. Cobb was recently a guest on WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross’ podcast, “The Ross Report,” to talk about several professional wrestling topics. While Cobb is happy with ROH at the moment, he said he’d be lying if he said he didn’t one day want to work for the company that made him fall in love with professional wrestling:

“I’d be lying if I said I never wanted to go there,” Cobb said. “I’ll date myself, but WWF is the reason why I fell in love with pro wrestling, so I’d be a liar if I’d said, ‘no, I never want to go there.’

“I would love to go there. Again, like, that’s the ultimate test right there. And, I think, again, getting out of the comfort zone, going to a huge global company like that would definitely be on my bucket list.”

ROH recently lost their previous ROH World Television Champion to WWE in Punishment Martinez. Martinez lost the title to Cobb a month ago, and the match aired only two weeks ago. Martinez is now working in NXT and could be a big part of the program’s plans in the coming months.

As for Cobb and a potential WWE run, he listed off a few current WWE talents he’d like the opportunity to share the ring with in the future:

“I would definitely love to wrestle with Samoa Joe. I think that would be a fun time. I get that comparison a lot on the independents. I would also love to wrestle Cesaro. I think he’s super talented. He’s just really good and I would love to have that match with him.”
