CW Anderson: my life flashed before my eyes when New Jack used a staple gun on my d–k

Tommy Dreamer welcomed CW Anderson to the “House of Hardcore” podcast this week. Anderson and Dreamer shared stories from their days in ECW including backstage pranks and some of the crazy things that took place in front of the cameras.

Here are some highlights:

CW Anderson talked about being at the Power Plant:  “We weren’t even allowed to go in the locker room when they were filming for Thunder and Nitro.  If the Power Plant kids were in there, Doug Dillinger kicked us out.  He would say, ‘I don’t give a damn who you guys are.’  They would not let us in the back.  The thing that broke the camel’s back is I was there for about a year.  Paul Orndorff and J.J. Dillon came to the school to see what kind of talent they had because they had no idea.  There were like 30 of us there.  They paired everybody up to wrestle a match to see what kind of talent they had.  I got paired up with my buddy Toad.  We had a very good match to where the boys were popping.  Brad Armstrong was there and when we finished, he said that’s some ECW stuff right there.  Paul Orndorff and J.J. Dillon came up to me and said I didn’t have much of a look.  My wrestling was ok but they didn’t think I could offer them anything in WCW because I just didn’t have what they were looking for which was very disheartening.  It wasn’t long after that, that Toad had his tryout in ECW.”

Tommy Dreamer said he turned down working at the All Japan dojo early in his career:  “I couldn’t.  I was young and thankfully ECW took off.  It hit me at a different time.  I couldn’t get into the whole ‘pay your dues process’ and wipe another dude’s ass or clean the dude.  I couldn’t do that.  For me, I remember there would be veterans and the young boys would have their head down and veteran’s would walk up and smack them in their ears for no reason.  I would be like, dude, I’m sorry.  You smacked me in my ears and I’m fighting you.  It’s not a disrespect thing.  It’s just, I can’t deal with that.”

Anderson talked about the night New Jack stapled the head of his d**k with a staple:  “Me and Jack were really close.  He was wrestling me.  Everybody in ECW knew how much he hated Vic Grimes.  The night before, he wrestled Vic Grimes and he would always ‘shoot’ put real staples in there for Vic.  Well, he tells me we are going to do that spot with the staple gun and I watched him open it up and get the staples out.  He puts it back in.  I go out and wrestle Raven.  He comes out.  When he lays me down for the spot, instead of stapling my head, he gets funny and puts it on the head of my d**k.  Well, there was a staple that got jammed in the back where it comes out.  When he hits that plunger and that thing comes out, my life flashed before my eyes.  It was this pain and it was one of those inch and a half ones and it was sticking out of my d**k and I was screaming.  I was in so much pain.  Jack was still dancing around and I heard him say, “Get up CW”.  I look up at him and say, ‘Jack, you have stapled my d**k.’  He looks down and starts laughing under his breath.  When I said I was a paralyzed crab, he laid down beside me and was laughing his ass off.”
