Dana White on CM Punk's future in UFC: "It should be a wrap"

During the UFC 225 post-fight press conference, Dana White was asked about CM Punk and his future in UFC.

"It should be a wrap," White said. He continued, "The guy is 39 years old. We gave him two shots and he had a lot of heart tonight. I think he should call it a wrap."

White did not have a medical update because he had just learned that Punk was transported to the hospital.

White said that he was upset with Mike Jackson and regrets not putting it on Fight Pass. "He's 0-2 as far as I'm concerned," White said about Jackson. White's issue with Jackson is that it looked like he wasn't trying to finish the fight.

All indications are that this show drew a good buyrate and Punk would get some of the credit for that. The gate was $2.55 million and the arena was sold out with additional standing room tickets made available during the final days ahead of the show.

If Punk wants to fight again, it looks like he will have to go elsewhere. I would not be surprised if Bellator called him but there is no guarantee that Punk will want to fight again.
