Dana White Says There’s People Who Want To Get In AEW Or WWE To Jump Off Ladders Onto Tacks When They Could Join Power Slap And Make More Money

Dana White, the CEO of the Power Slap promotion and President of the UFC, made a direct pitch to wrestlers, suggesting they can make significantly more money in Power Slap than they do taking high-risk bumps on the independent circuit.

Dana White’s Pitch To Wrestlers

Speaking on the Cutler Cast, White criticized the low pay that many independent wrestlers receive for performing dangerous stunts and offered his promotion as a more lucrative alternative.

“There is a bunch of people out there that want to get into the AEW or WWE, right?” White said. “These guys will f**king jump off a ladder onto a table full of tacks for $50 a night. You can come into Power Slap and make a s**t load of money.”

Power Slap’s History With Indie Wrestlers

He continued by stating that he sees the toughness of wrestlers as a perfect fit for his sport. “These guys are all tough guys, big guys so we’re looking at these guys that wanted to be professional wrestlers and a lot of other athletes around the world to come into Power Slap,” he added.

The promotion held a combine event in Las Vegas in April 2025, and a report from Fightful Select noted that several independent wrestling performers, including ‘HollyHood’ Haley J and Stunt Marshall, were set for Power Slap tapings. Both UFC and WWE fall under the TKO umbrella. The full interview with Dana White can be found on the Cutler Cast podcast.
