Daniel Bryan says Luke Harper’s ability is wasted on SmackDown Live

Daniel Bryan is the current General Manager on SmackDown Live but that figurehead role is only for television purposes. The truth is Bryan still receives a sheet full of “verbage” he must use whenever he has a segment on the show just like everyone else. Daniel might look like he’s booking all the matches on SmackDown Live, but he’s just relaying messages given to him by the office.

If Daniel Bryan really had control of the show things might be a little different. In all reality it would probably be totally different. There are more than a few superstars Daniel Bryan would probably change creative direction for including Luke Harper.

The former Wyatt family member has one of the most impressive move sets in WWE. A man that size shouldn’t be able to fly like that. He could become one of the greatest big men of the modern age if WWE would use him properly. But instead Harper is used marginally at best.

Daniel Bryan recently spoke to Fox Sports where he admitted Luke Harper’s ability was being wasted on WWE television.

“I think that [Luke Harper’s] somebody that we can utilize better. When he left the Wyatt Family, I thought the fans were really starting to get behind him — and his match with Randy Orton, gosh, I loved his match with Randy Orton.”

“Every time you see him, he’s dynamic. The crowd gets behind him, and then you just kind of lose him on TV to where we don’t really see him much. I think we’re really losing out on that.”

It is true Luke Harper is a guy people can get behind. But when he changed the color of his tank top the WWE Universe doesn’t seem to get enough of him.

Formally known as Brodie Lee on the independent scene, Harper has always created a path in which people can follow him. But for some reason ever since he’s stopped “following the buzzards” WWE hasn’t been able to figure out what to do with the former Intercontinental Champion.
