Backstage interviewer Dasha Fuentes has been released by WWE, as first reported by Pro Wrestling Sheet. There was speculation about her release earlier this afternoon after her WWE.com profile was removed.
Fuentes was in New York City for WrestleMania weekend which makes the release surprising since WWE isn’t known to release personnel around their most important week of the year.
On her Instagram stories, she said “it’s been an interesting couple of days” and then said she was excited to be going on vacation “that’s not for work.”
Fuentes (real name Dasha Kuret Gonzalez) signed with WWE in 2014 as a wrestler on NXT and made her live event debut in April 2015. She only had one match but was transitioned into backstage interviewer just a few weeks later and she was eventually moved up to the main roster.
