Joanna Tenta, daughter of the late WWE Hall of Famer John Tenta, best known to fans as Earthquake, is embarking on a journey into the family business: she is currently training to become a professional wrestler.
Speaking on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Tenta shared the emotional backstory behind her decision. She told Clarkson that she wanted to follow in her father’s footsteps as a teenager. However, after Earthquake sadly passed away from bladder cancer in 2006, Joanna stepped away from wrestling entirely, revealing she had stopped watching wrestling for almost 17 years.
Her passion was reignited after watching WrestleMania 39, reminding her why she loved the sport. In June 2024, she decided to pursue her dream and get into wrestling.
According to her social media, Joanna is training at the Absolute Intense Wrestling (AIW) facility. Her father was posthumously inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame last month alongside his partner, Typhoon, as The Natural Disasters.
