Davey Boy Smith Jr, who is the son of the late great The British Bulldog, recently did an interview with Hannibal TV. During the interview, he gave an interesting story about the fan who attacked Bret Hart during the Hall of Fame ceremony in April.

Hart was making a speech alongside WWE star Natalya as part of the induction for The Hart Foundation (Hart and Jim Neidhart) at this year’s Hall of Fame ceremony that aired on the WWE Network. The fan crashed the ring and tried to tackle Hart.

This led to several WWE stars going after the fan. Eventually, the man was taken out of the arena and later charged by police.

“I would have got there sooner had I been closer to the ring. I was seated right near where the entrance where the guys come out. and when it had initially happened, I thought maybe it was a work or something.”

Smith would later add that they had taken the guy from ringside and everyone was surrounding the man. This led to Smith trying to kick the guy but accidentally connected with a shot to the kidney of WWE Talent Relations executive Mark Carrano. He apologized for it and Carrano later joked that if Smith had known that he was kicking him he would have put more power behind it.
