During a recent interview during WWE’s European tour, WWE CFO George Barrios was asked about adding independent promotions such as Ring Of Honor to the WWE Network.
“Yeah, I think there’s something there. It’s always a priority and what comes first. We recently announced a deal with ICW and Progress which are wrestling promotions in the UK. We’re thinking about the best way to utilize that content. As you know, we’ve been fairly active over the years purchasing wrestling libraries. A lot of which you can see on the [WWE] network [so] we think there’s a home for that. It’s just a matter of priority.”
So, it does appear that a deal has been reached. These promotions will be a part of the network as long as Vince McMahon gives the okay but it should be noted that he has gone back and forth whether he wants independent promotions added to the network. In the latest Wrestling Observer newsletter, Dave Meltzer wrote that they have “deals in place for both where they would be on the WWE Network if Vince gives the okay.”
