Several fans on social media pointed out how much the announcers got across the fact that Dean Ambrose has chosen not to sign a new contract with the company. This was also mentioned last week on Monday Night Raw and this has people in the company (and fans) speculating that Ambrose will be staying with the company.
Despite the speculation and despite the unusual way WWE is handling his impending departure, Dave Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio that he heard from a trusted company source and he was told that Ambrose still plans on leaving the company and everything that has been said on TV about his exit is not a work.
Of course, WWE would love to have him back and there’s always a chance they can offer him something good enough to get him to stay. The thing with Ambrose is that he does not live a lavish lifestyle and he has saved his money so money is not something that can easily sway him.
Unless things change, Ambrose will be done with the company by the end of April. If he signs with All Elite Wrestling, then he would be free to appear at AEW Double Or Nothing in Las Vegas on May 25th. Las Vegas also happens to be where Ambrose currently resides.
