Dean Ambrose retained the WWE Championship in an excellent main event at WWE Battleground.
Late in the match, they did a spot in the match with Ambrose and Rollins working as a team to hit a double powerbomb on Reigns through the Spanish announcers table. The anti-Reigns crowd in Washington, DC cheered everything that was done to Reigns in the match. Several minutes later, Reigns hit the spear on Rollins but Ambrose got back in the ring in time and hit Dirty Deeds on Reigns. Ambrose got the pin and he takes the WWE Championship to Smackdown.
Daniel Bryan, Mick Foley, Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan were at ringside to watch the match. The entire Smackdown roster celebrated in the ring with Ambrose as they went off the air.
