Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, John Cena, and others named in lawsuit filed by ex-security guard

Troy Rivers, a former security guard that worked at a WWE live event at the Savannah Civic Center in Georgia, has filed a complaint in Chatham County Court claiming that he was struck in the head, neck, and back by a folding chair during the live event. The case was listed on the Courthouse News Service website. He believes that he was struck by Jonathan Good (Dean Ambrose) but because his back was facing the stage/ring area, he is not sure which wrestler actually hit him with the chair.

John Cena, Tim Works, Ryan Allen Reeves (Ryback), Leati Joseph Anoa’I (Roman Reigns), Colby Lopez (Seth Rollins), Glenn Thomas Jacobs (Kane), Bryan Danielson (Daniel Bryan), Curtis Jonathan Hussey (Fandango), Ronnie Aaron Killings (R-Truth), Aaron Steven Haddad (Damien Sandow), Claudio Castagnoli (Cesaro), and Cody Garrett Runnels (Stardust) are also listed as defendants.

His attorney Kevin Elwell says, “We haven’t reviewed the video from the event yet, so we’re bringing in everyone on the card that night. Only one guy did it, but we don’t know which one yet.”

Rivers is seeking unspecified punitive and compensatory damages.

WWE has stated that they have no knowledge of “any such incident and the security company that hired the plaintiff doesn’t have any record of this matter either. Furthermore, the plaintiff’s attorney has admitted he has no basis to sue the individual defendants named in the lawsuit.”

Rivers claims that he has been left with “serious, significant and permanent personal injuries.” It should be noted that the alleged incident happened in 2013 so it baffles me as to why this was not brought up at the time if this really happened.
