As noted, Hogan recently appeared Eric Bischoff’s podcast and commented on a potential return to WWE at WrestleMania 33 in Orlando, Florida next year. Hogan’s daughter, Brooke Hogan, recently told TMZ that he may be returning to WWE at WrestleMania. “I haven’t talked to anybody about WrestleMania. I just need to put that to rest,” Horgan said during his appearance on the podcast.
As you can see in the tweet below, Hogan was in New York City two weeks ago, and there is now speculation that Hogan was filming content for the WWE Network. Also, there have been talks between WWE and Hogan about how the two sides can move forward following transcripts being leaked by The National Enquirer that alleged that Hogan had used racial slurs during his sex tape that ultimately led to WWE releasing Hogan last July. Despite Hogan’s denials this week, there are people in WWE that strongly believe that he’ll be back in time for WrestleMania, if not sooner.
Both sides want to start working together again and the WWE side wanted to let the Gawker stuff blow over first. There is also the issue of sponsors being upset if they brought him back too soon. As we’ve been saying for weeks, Hogan has appeared in recent ads for the WWE Network and that is not a coincidence since everything that you see put out by WWE through web, video and social media needs to be approved.
