Despite reported interest from WWE, it does not look like FTR will be going anywhere...at least not this year.

Fightful reported earlier that WWE was interested but AEW says they have one year left on their deals so it looks like Tony Khan has picked up the one-year option. Last December, FTR told "Barstool Rasslin" that they didn't have long left on their current deals.

"Because we don’t have very much longer on these current contracts. I don’t know what’s going to happen from there, but we have a short amount of time to accomplish the things we want to accomplish." Harwood said.

They did not say when their deals were up but they debuted on AEW Dynamite on May 27, 2020, which means that May of 2022 would be around the 2-year mark of when they signed with their company. Since AEW has picked up the one-year option, that likely means that they could not negotiate with other companies until May 2023. A return to WWE is possible next year because Dax has said on Twitter that they could make the jump if the right offer came along.

Harwood and Wheeler are the ROH and AAA World Tag Team Champions and they now have their signs on the AEW World Tag Team Titles currently held by Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus.
