Kurt Angle had recently announced that WWE’s plans to bring him back to television for a few weeks had been scrapped.
On “The Kurt Angle Show” podcast, the WWE Hall Of Famer confirmed that he was backstage at the Royal rumble St. Louis to film content and this was where he was going to find out what they had in mind for him. However, Angle didn’t elaborate on what the plans were.
Fightful Select reported today that Angle was originally figured into the RK-Bro vs. Alpha Academy plans. There were various pitches such as the academic challenge being the “Three Is Challenge,” playing off of Angle’s wrestling days.
There was also talk of Angle serving as a special guest referee in Saudi Arabia at the Elimination Chamber event.
