Diamond Dallas Page comments on being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame

Diamond Dallas Page recently spoke with Rolling Stone about being inducted into the 2017 class of the WWE Hall Of Fame. When asked where he was when he got the news, he noted that he was filming his Positively Living DVD that will be released by WWE. He noted that he was on the Jersey Shore and it was at the end of a day of filming for the DVD when he was handed a phone. Triple H called him as he called “The Game” a couple of weeks earlier and thought that it was a return call. “So we’re talking about casual stuff, and then I start to hear him talk about my career and where I’ve been and how I got here, and then it hits me – is this that call? I’m not a guy who has trouble talking, but I couldn’t talk. Tears are running down the sides of my cheeks, and I just said, “Bro, I love you, man.”

When asked what his emotions were when he heard about the announcement, he noted that he is still choked up about it and gets a chill when he thinks about it. “Bottom line is, work ethic equals dreams, and I am walking proof that that’s a fact. They had you give them an inscription for inside your ring. I wrote, “Work ethic = dreams!”
