Diamond Dallas Page officially announced for the 2017 WWE Hall Of Fame

His name had been rumored for weeks but it has finally been confirmed by WWE that Diamond Dallas Page will be inducted into the 2017 class of the WWE Hall Of Fame.

Page’s full-time wrestling career began in 1988 with the AWA as a manager for Badd Company and The Diamond Exchange stable. He eventually moved on to WCW in 1991 and was featured as the manager of The Fabulous Freebirds before eventually becoming a full-time wrestler.

Page would work his way up the ranks and eventually became a main eventer during the Monday Night Wars. He was one of the few top names to go to the World Wrestling Federation after WCW was purchased and was featured as part of the WCW vs. WWF invasion storyline. His run with the company ended in 2002.

Page has reinvented himself in recent years with his DDP Yoga program and he has helped several wrestlers deal with injuries. Chris Jericho credits DDP Yoga for helping him deal with back issues. Jake “The Snake” Roberts and Scott Hall credit DDP for helping them overcome their substance abuse issues. This is a well-deserved (and long overdue) induction.

He will join Kurt Angle, The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express, and Teddy Long in this year’s Hall Of Fame class. Ravishing Rick Rude and Beth Phoenix are also rumored to be going in this year.
