Did Bob Holly Really Threaten Kevin Nash? Nash Reacts To Holly’s Claim

WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash recently addressed and denied a long-standing story recounted by former WWE wrestler Bob Holly (Hardcore Holly) involving an alleged confrontation where Holly supposedly drew an “X” on Nash’s chin. Speaking on his “Kliq This” podcast, Nash refuted the accuracy of the anecdote, which has been part of Holly’s narrative for years.

The story, as told by Holly in his book and in interviews, describes a moment where Holly, unhappy with Nash, approached the then-WWF Champion, put his finger on Nash’s chin to make an “X,” and told him that’s where he was going to hit him. When a listener brought up this account, describing it as Holly telling a “tough guy story” where Nash “apparently cowered,” co-host Sean Oliver asked Nash to rate it on the “bullshit meter.”

Nash was direct in his denial. “Your opening match, and you’re f**king with the champion, who’s also a member of the kliq. How long do you think he’s got a job? If he does that,” Nash questioned, highlighting the unlikelihood of such an incident given the backstage power dynamics of the time.

He further revealed that he had previously asked Holly about the story directly. “I actually asked Bob. I actually asked Bob about that, like, years later, we were on some indie show together. I said, Where’d you come up with that? I said, that never happened,” Nash recounted. He expressed bemusement as to why Holly would perpetuate the story, stating, “Bob’s a nice guy. But one of the, one of the funniest things is, is Bob and I never had a f**king problem.”

Nash also pointed out Holly’s association with Sid Vicious at the time, suggesting their friendship made any confrontational actions towards him, a prominent member of The Kliq, even less plausible. “He was Sid’s f**king buddy, and him and Sid f**king trained,” Nash added.

Sean Oliver noted that Holly’s narrative of standing up to or fighting The Kliq has “kind of become a thing, whether it happened or not.” Nash responded firmly, “Well, it didn’t happen, and to me, it’s like to bring up something just to bring up something that that’s that’s bullsh*t.”

Nash speculated on the inclusion of such a story in Holly’s book, published in 2013. “If you don’t, what else is salacious in his book? It’s got to be one of his better stories, right?” he mused, suggesting it might have been included for its attention-grabbing nature. “It’s a good one. It’s still talked about. That’s what you want, right? You want those chapters that get, yeah, that become lore beyond the publication,” Oliver added.

Despite his denial of this specific incident, Nash did not express personal animosity towards Holly, but rather a clear refutation of a story he maintains is fabricated. He even humorously suggested, “Maybe we should have Bob on,” to discuss it further.
